Software QA Tester

Candidate will provide software testing on products prior to customer release and provide customer support as necessary. Candidate will be required to assist in developing test procedures and test scenarios using experience and knowledge to devise more efficient ways of testing; follow, modify and maintain Quality Assurance test plan documents; review user manuals prior to software release; assist in technical support tasks as necessary and configuration, demonstrations, and presentations.

 

Candidate must present a professional, positive, customer service-oriented attitude. Candidate must be able to read technical data, independently troubleshoot software conflicts, and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Define, write and execute test plans and procedures.
  • Create and document test procedures for new software enhancements.
  • Learn new tools and develop test plans.
  • Assist with the demonstration of tools.
  • Test software prior to public release.
  • Work closely with the software engineers to resolve customer problems.
  • Analyze a variety of engineering data.
  • Generate test reports.
  • Make recommendations to management on software test process improvement, including recommending new/updated automated test capabilities.
  • Able to explain, document and perform quality assurance tests on products.

Product Integration Specialist

The Product Integration Specialist provides management expertise for executing, analyzing and scheduling work processes. Understands requirements and i mplementation roadmaps for integrating both internal and external data in alignment with product software. Develops priorities and builds the necessary flows to deliver information through the appropriate data processing platforms. Submits jobs and provides workflow management. Utilizes transfer mechanisms to move data to appropriate platforms. Ensures compliance with established procedures, project requirements and service level agreements through testing and audits. Provides support and communication to teams and/or clients based on knowledge of data and/or processes. Manages timelines, supply chain coordination and is highly organized.

  • The successful candidate will consult directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand their processes and identify opportunities for using systems integration to improve operational efficiencies in the organization while building agility into the portfolio of solutions
  • Proposes improvements to existing systems and integration solutions based on industry trends and best practices and internal business, technical and infrastructure opportunities, selling new concepts and building consensus on the recommended approach
  • Will champion collaborative efforts to improve business performance through solutions and capabilities, such as metadata management, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components

Required Skills:

  • MS Office with emphasis on Excel/Word
  • Ability to demonstrate good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Previous data entry experience in a work setting or academic classroom project
