Products
The Gadberry Group is the premium provider of U.S. household geo- demographic data products. Gadberry's products are superior to products which rely on summarized data such as 2000 census data or postal data as their primary source. It is also unlike compiled consumer data which is built primarily for direct marketing use, doesn't represent all occupied households, nor is it built to be trended with historic census data. Gadberry's products reveal ground truth about today's population and demographic trends - not an estimate of what may be happening using traditional methods.
MicroBuild®
First released in 2002, Gadberry's patent-pending MicroBuild® product is unique because it is the only product of its kind to use data at the name and address level as the primary data source. Using a patent-pending methodology, Gadberry incorporates consumer demographics, census data and US Postal Service data to create the most accurate measure of occupied households, household population, and seasonal units in the industry.
Demographic Data
Because MicroBuild uses household level demographic data as its primary source it can be extended with other powerful demographic characteristics. Each of the following MicroBuild products delivers on the MicroBuild promise of current , accurate , and precise information. No other product even comes close.
- MicroBuildHD - Household Demographics
Gadberry's newest MicroBuild-enabled demographic product representing a well timed breakthrough in household geo- demographic data for location analysis. MicroBuildHD provides the first ever “bridge”, connecting historic census data to current household demographics for the United States. MicroBuildHD variables are created to be consistent with equivalent census 2000 variables so that trending with household demographics, virtually impossible before, can now be done quickly and easily. For clients who demand the most current and precise demographic data for their location analysis, MicroBuildHD provides a collection of the most commonly used and powerful household demographic variables.
- MicroBuildHE - Household Ethnicity
Using MicroBuild as its household and population baseline, MicroBuildHE provides quarterly ethnic information by census block or block group including ethnicity, race, country-of-origin, assimilation index and language preference.
Unlike census-based demographic products that use macro level estimation techniques driven down to lower level of geographies, MicroBuildHE uses current household data and the Ethnic Technologies system to depict ethnicity, race, and cultural characteristics at the household level and summarizes the results beginning at the census block level.
MicroBuildHE data packages include Summary Level, Hispanic Detail, and Asian Detail.
- MicroBuildHS - Household Segmentation
Like MicroBuildHE , MicroBuildHS uses MicroBuild as its household and population baseline and provides a geographically accurate aggregation of all U.S. households based on their unique demographic and behavioral characteristics.
Produced each quarter, MicroBuildHS harnesses the power of PersonicX® , a household level segmentation system that places each U.S. household into one of 70 segments based on that household's specific consumer and demographic characteristics. PersonicX reveals the dramatic difference between the characteristics and consumer behaviors of the affluent retired couple right next door and the young family just starting out.
Mapping Software
- Magnify®

The Gadberry Group is committed to innovation and actively listens to the needs of the markets we serve and specifically to our customers. Below is a short list of the new product offerings in development.
- MicroBuildCD - Groundview™ Demographics
GroundView Demographics represents a new approach to demographics and integrates Pitney Bowes MapInfo's next generation demographics with Gadberry's patent-pending MicroBuild® household geo-demographic data, bringing a new level of reliability and timeliness to market analysis and decision making. In the past, organizations relied on estimates and projections based on U.S. Census Bureau data—which is only updated every ten years.
GroundView's quarterly updates provide companies with the most recent U.S. household and population counts available enabling them to make more confident decisions regarding site selection, marketing, distribution, product development and other key business areas.
Groundview delivers a comprehensive set of over 4,000 variables in 15 modules, available for eleven layers of geography. All demographics in this database are updated annually to the current year, and most are projected out five years.

- MicroBuild Migration
Like other Gadberry products, MicroBuild Migration represents another first in demographic data product innovation. MicroBuild Migration provides, for the first time ever, a measure of household mobility across time and geography. Like other Gadberry products, MicroBuild Migration harnesses the precision of household demographics with the power of location to reveal the when and where of consumer mobility for the U.S.
Experts agree that household mobility in the U.S. averages 20% annually. That means that almost 25 million households will be living in a different city or community next year. However, as exiting households say goodbye, new households, often with very different demographics, may be taking their place. Even if the net number of households for an area remains constant, the characteristics of the population may be significantly different. MicroBuild Migration provides a time-series comparison, beginning in 2005 with updates every six months through 2008, for every household in the U.S. MicroBuild Migration will be produced as a companion dataset for each of Gadberry's other MicroBuild-enabled products. The first release of MicroBuild Migration will be the MicroBuildHS edition and is planned for fall of 2008. MicroBuild Migration will be available as a data product, an integrated offering via Magnify, or custom analysis through Gadberry's professional services.
